ULTRA EASY CONTACT MANAGMENT FOR BLACKBERRY

It's been a while since my last post and a lot has happened. Blackberry Apps is starting to have some real content and there's a lot more connectivity for the BB. Heck! There's a Storm 2.0 coming out, which makes me wonder what will happen to my old one.

If you don't know already GOOGLE SYNC is the one thing you can't live without if you're a BB user.

I always had a hard time adding new contacts to the Blackberry Storm. It's cumbersome interface (all of the PDA/Smart Phones really) made me only add phone numbers. Now with Google Sync, I can type the contacts into GMAIL and then let Google Sync do the heavy lifting. Within about 30 minutes (unless you do the manual override) you'll have all, yes ALL of the data you put into google contacts.

It also syncs your BB Calendar to Google Calendar and vice versa.
If you use a blackberry go here to get it.

Change Email Signature on Blackberry | Sent From My Blackberry

HOW TO CHANGE THE EMAIL SIGNATURE ON A BLACKBERRY

I got an email from someone that said, "sent from outerspace." So I had to find out how to do that. I did a search and the BBGEEKS had a pretty decent post on it.

I decided to change mine to, "Sent from my Blackberry, pardun th misplngs & shotness" - inside joke.

Changing the auto signature on your personal BlackBerry

Go to your carrier’s login page (listed below) and enter your login information. If you haven’t created an account yet, you’ll be given that option at the login screen.

Once logged in, you’ll be able to set up the email addresses you can view from your BlackBerry. Once you set one up, go back to the dashboard screen, where you can click on the options for your email address (it’s the leftmost button below):

With Newer Blackberrys you can got to Setup >> Email Options

You can find your dashboard by carrier below:
Once you click on the EDIT button, you’ll come to a screen with information on your email address and passwords. That’s where your auto signature box will be. Change or delete it, and then hit “Save.”

Changing your auto signature from a BES

If you’ve got your BlackBerry through work and are using a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, your task will be slightly different. There are actually two
  1. Go into “email settings.”
  2. Click on the second tab, which will show your auto signature. You can change it or just turn it off…whichever works for you.You can do this right from your handheld go to your messages, and click “options.”
  3. Then click on email settings, where you’ll be greeted with the option to change your auto-signature.

Blackberry Storm Tips From RIM

The Blackberry Storm has a lot of user interface tricks and tips that I have found to be useful. The reason for this blog is that the tips foldout (pictured) is totally inadequate for the depth of the interface. This foldout came with my storm and is featured at the RIM Blackberry Site but doesn't even scratch the surface.

Blackberry Storm Tips

I got this fancy new Blackberry Storm and did a search and there's no good tips! So I am going to post videos and tips here.
